NWU observed Martyred Intellectual Day 2022

North Western ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ (NWU) observed the Martyred Intellectuals Day to commemorate those intellectuals who were assassinated deliberately by the Pakistan occupation forces and their local collaborators at the fag-end of the country’s Liberation War in 1971. To mark the day, a discussion meeting was held on 14 December 2022 at 09.30 am. Honorable Vice-Chairman of NWU, S. M. Kamal Hossain was the Chief Guest while Honorable Vice-Chancellor of NWU, Prof. Dr. Bazlar Rahman was presided over the event.
Apart from this, the member of the Board of Trustees of the ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ, Pabitra Kumar Sarkar and Syed Mohammad Obaidullah; Dean of Science and Technology Faculty, Prof. Dr. Md. Nawsher Ali Moral; Dean of Business Studies Faculty, Dr. Md. Rouf Biswas; Registrar, Muhammad Shariful Islam; Heads of the Departments; Controller of Examinations, Prof. Dr. Naseem Ahamed; Proctor, Md. Inzamam-Ul-Hossain, Assistant Proctors, Teachers, Students, Officers and Staffs took part in the discussion meeting.
On 14 December After Sunrise, Hoisting of National Flag at half-mast and Hoisting Black Flag at the NWU Building (1&2). At 8:30 a.m., wearing black badges. At 9:00 a.m., laying a floral wreath at Gallamari Monument. At 9:30 a.m., a discussion on the day. After the discussion meeting, a dua-mahfil was held at NWU Building 1 (Rooms 201 and 202) to pray for the departed souls of the nation's bravest and intellectual sons.
