North Western ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ Observes Private ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ Resistance Day with Various Programs

North Western ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ, Khulna, commemorated Private ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ Resistance Day with a series of events held at both the Administrative Building and Building-2 of the university.
The day began at 11:00 AM with a Photo Exhibition that displayed powerful images of NWU students participating in the historic July Movement. Several of the photos featured injured students from North Western ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ, capturing their courageous involvement and sacrifices during the movement.
Dignitaries who visited the exhibition included:
- Professor Kanai Lal Sarker, Acting Vice Chancellor
- Syed Hafizur Rahman, Member Secretary, Board of Trustees
- Farzana Akther, Dean, Faculty of Business Studies and Honorary Dean, Faculty of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences
- Dr. Imjamam-ul-Hossain, Dean, Faculty of Science and Technology
- Dr. Sheikh Shafiquar Rahman, Registrar
- Sheikh Mahroofur Rahman, Assistant Professor, Department of Business Administration and Director (Liaison), Board of Trustees
- Shakil Ahmed, Proctor
- Heads of Departments, Assistant Proctors, Office Heads, faculty members, students, officers, and staff
Following the exhibition, a discussion session titled "The July Uprising and the Future of Bangladesh" was held at 12:00 PM.
Later in the afternoon, at 3:00 PM, a stage drama titled "The July Uprising" was performed, followed by a patriotic musical performance at 3:30 PM to honor the spirit of the movement.
Simultaneously at Building-2, NWU organized quiz and art competitions for students. The day concluded with a prize distribution ceremony where Acting Vice Chancellor Professor Kanai Lal Sarker presented awards to the winners.
The celebration of Private ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ Resistance Day at NWU reflected the university's ongoing commitment to democracy, justice, and the vital role of students in shaping the nation's future.
